Très jeune il gagne de nombreux prix\, notamment en 2017 au Concours International de Piano du Montreux Jazz Festival. Il tourne sur les cinq continents\, et en 2018 il fait une très longue tournée européenne pour le lancement de  son album "Tour d'Horizon" avec son trio Random Control. 20 instruments sur scène pour trois musiciens et pour un tour d'horizon des composition emblématiques de pianistes qui ont inspiré David Helbo
